Everybody is a psychic

“WHAT percentage of the population is psychic?”

My answer? One hundred percent! It is my belief that everybody is a psychic.
You see, “psychic” comes from the Greek word “psyche”, which means either “mind” or “soul.” So anybody with a mind or a soul is psychic.

Although it is true that everybody is psychic, it does not mean that everybody manifests the power equally well. Some are better at it than others.

But this is the same with any other natural ability. For example, everybody can paint or sing. But some are better painters and singers than others.

Unfortunately, in the Philippines, psychic has come to be associated with fortune-telling. So, when a person is described as a psychic, it is taken to mean that he/she can tell the future.

But there are so many manifestations of psychic abilities that do not involve telling the future. For example, there is levitation, telepathy, psychometry, telekinesis, psychic healing, remote viewing, etc. One can be a good psychic without being a fortune teller.

“Is levitation true?”
Levitation is defined as the “ability or power to reverse the polarity of your magnetism in relation to earth and therefore rise above ground, with no visible means of support.” Defined this way, levitation is not against natural law but, in fact, follows it. Physics’ Law of Magnetism states, “Like poles repel each other; opposite poles attract each other.”

“In your opinion, who is the greatest psychic in history?”
Jesus Christ is the greatest psychic who ever lived on earth. So far, I have not found any written record of anybody who has duplicated, or at least approximated, what he did, despite the fact that he said, “All the works I have done you can do, and much more than these.”

Among the many psychic feats Jesus demonstrated were: telepathy (when he read or knew man’s heart); precognitive (when he told the disciples one of them would betray him, and when he told Peter, “Before the cock crows, you will deny me three times”); levitation (when he walked on water); materialization (when he multiplied five loaves of bread to feed 5,000 people); psychic healing (when he healed the centurion’s daughter though he was far from her); and telekinesis (when he cursed a fig tree and it wilted).

“Are there dangers in ghost- hunting?”
Yes, if one is not prepared or properly trained for such an activity. You see, spirits that appear to people are usually the low, negative or earthbound. A person can get sick, have accidents or be possessed if he/she encounters a negative or evil spirit. Young people are especially prone to possession. It is best to leave such things alone. Ghost-hunting is not a game. One may encounter real dangers in this type of activity.

“What is the astral plane?”
This is difficult to explain. It is not a physical plane or space. It belongs to the non-material universe. Albert Einstein postulated a fourth dimension or plane that he called “time-space.” It is somewhat, but not exactly, the same as this.

A human being has several dimensions or planes of existence. The physical is one plane, another is the emotional, then mental, astral and spiritual. Mystics and psychics say there are seven planes of existence. The astral plane is only one of them. We have an astral body that can detach itself from the physical body and travel consciously in the astral plane. But within the astral, there are seven sub-planes so this is not an easy concept to understand. Some people deny the existence of the astral plane. They are entitled to their own opinion.

“What is the electronic voice phenomenon? Is this true?”
Electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) is a process of capturing the voice of discarnate spirit by means of an electronic device such as an audio tape recording machine.

One of the pioneers in this study was a Latvian psychologist named Constantine Raudive. He discovered that by keeping a tape recorder running in front of a radio, the dial positioned between two stations’ frequencies, he could hear voices of the dead when the tape was played back. Mostly they were unknown entities. But later he got voices of dead relatives and well-known personalities on the tape recorder.

Much later, another researcher, George Meek, an American, developed a device to capture voices of the dead and he called it the Spiricom.
